Parkwood Off Road Centre (Tong) was our venue for this year's Jeepey Jamboree; Parkwood 4 x4 is our chosen venue, because it offers our Jeepers, over 100 acres of woodland trails.

Parkwood 4 x4 features terrain suitable for the novice in standard Jeeps, to extreme off road sections to challenge our owners with modified Jeeps, including, off road woodland, open tracks and water lagoons.

Around 70 Jeeps attended the event with just over 40 venturing onto the off road site, including first time visitors from the Netherlands, with three off road Jeeps between them.

The majority of Jeeps came from the North of England, although we had several vehicles from the Midlands and visitors from Kent.

Our extreme off roaders were able to enjoy another challenging punch route which was organised by Karl and Andy.

There were also visitors who had their first experience of off roading in Jeeps, and are coming back for more!

The Pentagon Jeep Show and Shine was won by Paul Andrews in his 1945 World War 11 Military GPW Jeep. Paul was presented with a trophy which was kindly sponsored by Pentagon Jeep of Barnsley.

Attendance was down by about 15% this year, which was most likely due to the current economic climate.

However, we still managed to raise a £1,000 for The Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

This was the second year that we ran a Tombola which has proved to be very popular, we would like to thank the numerous people who made donations and helped to organise the Tombola, which raised in excess of £250.

I would like to thank all our trade sponsors and supporters, who made donations and contributed to the success of the event.

We have already started to organise next year's Jeepey Jamboree for 2012 so keep 21st and 22nd July free next year!
