Jeepey Jamboree 2019

The sun was shining bright across Carlton Towers for the 12th annual  Jeepey Jamboree at the end of June this year. 

After a week of down pours we could not have asked for better conditions... bright sunshine, lots of mud and about 80 Jeeps! 

The atmosphere was electric, roofs and windows down, music on and over 50 Jeeps tackling a course that was completely different to last years event. 

If you had a winch...lucky you! If you were not pulling yourself out of some sticky situations you were helping fellow Jeepers! 

A big shout out to Ardent Off Road who offered driver and winch training all weekend, this went down a storm especially in the driving conditions. Many of the attendees had never encountered such challenging conditions on some of the sections of the course... but they kept coming back for more! Hats off also to the Renegade owners, who demonstrated the capabilities of 4x4 models, joining in the fun with the more established off road Jeep models.

Those Jeep owners relying on their buddy's to recover them, many of them wishing they had their own recovery winch..... don't despair! Watch this space for a great winch offer coming soon, from Jeepey and Storm Jeeps.  

It was tribute to the Jeep marque, seeing all types of Jeeps manufactured over several decades joining in the fun, particularly the new JL Wranglers, who's owners were not afraid to test their new Jeeps to the extreme.

Now lets not forget the food and drink; a massive thank you to Cottage Catering, Pizza Mamma, Little Black Dog Brewery and M&G ices who all kept is fed and watered all day and night in the extreme heat! Along with our associates from the trade who supported the event namely, Peter from Jordan's Cars Hull, Simon from Arbil 4x4 and Mark at Autosmart   

Over the course of the weekend there was a Tombola, Raffle and Auction (thank you to Ted and our wonderful little helpers Ruby, Felix and Hugo who were not only super helpful but very entertaining too!) we cannot thank our suppliers enough for their amazing contributions this year... Crown Automotive, Omix-Ada, Travall, All Makes, Britpart, MAAS and all our other sponsors who contributed towards helping us raise a whopping £4651 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

However, a special mention to Andrew, Libby, Jon and the rest of the team from Ardent Off Road; without their generosity, and who each volunteered their time for the charity help to contribute towards making 2019 a record year for raising money...taking our total Jeepey Jamboree money raised over the years, to almost £20,000 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
